MA in English Language and Literature is one of the six programmes started by CUAP in 2018.The programme offers a distinctively innovative curriculum that helps the student gain a thorough knowledge of the English Language and Literature. It also encourages the student to acquire skills in the areas of critical reading and effective writing and reflect on the various nuances of language and literature. The programme offers a varied and distinctive range of areas of study, including Morphology and Syntax, Semantics and Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics, Postcolonial Literatures, and Cultural Studies, and thus enables the student to explore the variety and richness of the English language and literatures in English from cultural, linguistic, national, and international perspectives. The programme is designed to help the student enhance their career opportunities as well.
